OptionCart provides a reseller program for any web site designer, developer or hosting company that wishes to use OptionCart systems in their own client projects. Here's how it works. Resellers may:

Make modifications or customizations to the system code (some limitations, such as multi user support, do apply)
Brand the system as their own, without adding any reference back to OptionCart
Resell the system as a downloadable system or integrate them into client projects
Receive refunds for any purchase made within 30 days (refund agreements apply)
Receive unlimited site transfers for one year after purchase (transfer agreements apply)
Receive cumulative discounts for multiple licenses purchased over time
Receive bulk discounts on groups of licenses purchased in one order

There is no charge to become an OptionCart reseller. However, you must have a web design, development or hosting business to qualify as a reseller. We look for the following to approve applications:

You must have a web design, development or hosting business.
You must have a publicly-accessed web site that displays your web design, development or hosting services and is functional in that clients could contact you for services.
Designers must have a publicly-accessed client portfolio that clearly shows you have created sites for clients; web hosts must display publicly offered web hosting plans for sale.
You must not create adult sites or sites that do not comply with our terms of service.

In other words, if you have a web business that is actively taking on clients and has a service list and a client portfolio, you are very welcome as a reseller! This demonstrates your experience and interest in reselling our systems, and gives resellers an edge because their clients cannot purchase systems from us directly. If you aren't sure if you qualify, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the requirements in more detail.

Please note that resellers receive free lifetime support for all OptionCart scripts. However, client level support is not included, so we cannot respond directly to resellers' clients. Resellers are expected to provide support to their clients.

Already a reseller? Log in to your reseller area to place orders and download files. If you have forgotten your reseller number and/or password, obtain this information via email, request your password to have the information sent to you.

Systems are provided in a download via a Windows Zipfile. Full online installation instructions are provided for assistance in setup. To install this script, you must have script installation experience and be able to upload files via FTP, change permissions, chmod directories and install mySQL databases via phpMyAdmin. Requires PHP 4+, mySQL, phpMyAdmin and a Mals-E account.*

Development Licenses

Resellers may receive free demo catalogs to be used for a demonstration catalog. As with all reseller catalogs, these catalogs can be branded with the reseller's information, and will not contain any references back to OptionCart. The demo catalog cannot be used for actual e-commerce purposes. The demo key for the reseller's site will be automatically included within the reseller's administration area after the first two licenses have been purchased, or a reseller can request a demo.

In addition to the demo catalogs, resellers can request development licenses for each license purchase. This would include any temporary web site URL, such as a web host's subdirectory site, IP address or local development server. Resellers do not need to purchase licenses for temporary development sites.
